Royal Path

Definition:
It is an ancient path that links the Reales Sitios with the Sierra of
Madrid, especially the city of Madrid with Manzanares el Real, where there
is the GR 10. In another phase, it will go on till Aranjuez. There are
three options: the main route, that begins in the Principe Pío
station and goes on by the Puente de los Franceses and the road to El
Pardo; the second one, that begins in la Dehesa de la Villa (Quiosco La
Paloma); and the third one, that begins in the subway station of El Lago,
in La Casa del Campo.
Route:
In Madrid the route goes on
as follows: Somontes, Monte del Pardo, Valdelatas, El Goloso, Tres Cantos,
Colmenar Viejo, Cabeza de Manzanares (1136 m) and Manzanares el Real (it
is 48 km long).
