Sendero del Ebro

Definition:
This route will follow the course of the river Ebro. It begins in Fontibre and ends in the delta of the river in the Mediterranean sea. This route is about 900 km long, and it will go by several geographical areas.

Route:

In Cantabria it is 56 km long and begins in Fontibre. It goes on by Salces, Nestares, Reinosa, Bolmir, Retortillo, Celada, Mariantes, Montesclaros, Aldea de Ebro, Mediadoro, La Serna, La Población de Abajo, Ruerrero, Villota de Elines, San Martín de Elines and Villaescusa de Ebro. It crosses two important Natural areas: El Cañón del Ebro and the Monte Hijedo.

The route in Navarra is still not defined.

In Aragon the marked section goes from Zaragoza and Pina de Ebro, by the right margin of the river. It is 44 km long and goes on by Zaragoza, La Cartuja, El Burgo de Ebro and Pina de Ebro.

In Catalonia this route is marked and its guide has been edited. It goes by Mequinensa, Ribarroja d'Ebre, Flix, Ascó, Móra, Miravet, Benifallet, Xerta, Tortosa, Amposta, Deltebre, and Far del Garxal.- 39:20 h 155,635 km
