Circular route by the Biosphere Reservation of Urdaibai
(Euskadi)

Definition:
In the salt marshes of Urdaibai there can be found thousands of birds,
and that's why the UNESCO declared it Biosphere Reservation in 1984. There
are beautiful beaches and sea villages until Gernika, the symbolic capital
of the basque people. This circular route is 120 km long.
Route:
In Euskadi the route is as follows:
Gernika, Kanala, Arboliz, Astorkigana, Autzagane, Bº San Llanbante,
Bermeo and Gernika. It has the variant GR 98-1 that goes up to
the Katillotxu.
