GR 15
Pre-Pyreneean Route
(Catalonia, Aragon and Navarra)

GENERAL MAP

Definition:
This route is planned to go on parallel to the GR 1 and the GR 11, covering the interior crests of the Pyrenees, a non-well known area but with beautiful landscapes.

Route:
In Catalunya its route is short, but there there is one of its beginning/end, Pont de Suert. In this village, there is the beginning/end of the variant GR 11-20, and it is planned that the GR 3 could also go there. From Pont de Suert, the route goes to the west and, soon afterwards, it goes into Aragon.

In Aragon , soon afterwards its beginning, the route is the following: Bonansa, Borda Ariño, Espés Bajo, Abella, San Feliu de Veri, Pusocuartal, Gavas, Seira, Barbaruens, col of Aibón, Saravillo, Lafortunada, Tella, Estaronillo, Escuaín, Bestué, San Úrbez, Sercué, Nerín, Buisán, Fanlo, Servise, Broto, Oto, Yosa, Otal, Yésero, Gavín, Biescas, Yosa de Sobremonte, Aso de Sobremonte, Acumuer, Larrosa, Castiello de Jaca, Borau and Esposa. It is about 135 km long, but the only marked section is the one between Acumuer and Pont de Suert. It has two variants, the GR 15-1, that goes from San Úrbez, Vió and Buerba, with wonderful views over the Monte Perdido, and Buisán; and the GR 15-2, that, from Broto, next to the river Ara, it goes by Torla and meets the GR 11 near the valley of Ordesa.


In
Navarra it is not fully planned yet, but the general route goes from Echo to Lumbier and Pamplona.
