The route of the GR 65-5 goes on by the ancient Roman path from Tarraco to Caesaraugusta. The legend says that this was the route by which the apostle Santiago went from Santiago de Compostela to Tarragona. In the Catalan section, one must highline Constantí (Centcelles mausoleum) and the Serra de Prades and the Serra La Llena.

In Catalonia, the route is the following: Tarragona, Constantí, la Selva, l'Albiol, Prades, Ulldemolins, Bellaguarda, Granadella, Llardecans, Maials and Mequinensa.- 28:15 h - 116,250 km.
