Review of the guide

Description of a route that connects several significative places in the life of Mossèn Jacint Verdaguer. This description has been made by the association Senders de Catalunya in honouring of the 100th anniversary of his death.

This route coincides with: Route of the Green Meridian, GR 2, GR 5-1, route Matagalls-Montserrat, GR 5, GR 96, GR 172, GR 6-1, GR 6 and GR 92.

The route has an own marking (a maroon V and a white cross on the right inferior corner). It was inaugurated in June 29th, 2002, after a full covering of the route in several weekends.

The design and the marking of the route was made by members of Senders de Catalunya, and the walkings were organised by some of the associations members of Senders de Catalunya: Centre Excursionista de Catalunya and Club Centre Excursionista Terres del Mestral.

The description of the route and the writing of the guide has been made by Josep M. Jerez.

The route has been divided in several sections that, in general, can be covered in just one day (between 15 and 25 km). Those sections begin and end in accessible places via public or private transport (train, bus, car...). Each section has an own card with a map (section of an ICC map scale 1:50.000, with the overprint of the route) and the description of the route (with distances in time and km).

In the back page, there is a general map of the route.
