Review
of the guide
Description
of a route that reminds the one used by the people of Gósol
to go to the region of La Cerdanya every summer, in order to
reap wheat.
In
the village of Gósol there are people who still remember
how to be a reaper. Before the Civil War, there were lots of
temporary workers who crossed the Cadí crest to La Cerdanya,
looking for a job.
The
route begins in the village of Gósol, and goes on by
the GR 107 and the GR 150 to El Collell and les Bassotes. After
that, and now by the PR-C 124, the route goes up to the Gosolans
pass, crosses the crest and goes down to the Prat d'Aguiló,
where there can be found the refuge of Prat d'Aguiló
(property of the FEEC). The route still goes down to the Coll
de l'Home Mort, la Baga de Ridolaina, the Cortal de l'Oriol,
the Font Tosca, and Nas. Near Olià, the route meets again
the GR 150 and, after, the GR 107 until Bellver de Cerdanya.
This
route does not have an own marking. The walker must follow the
marks of the GRs and PRs that are found during it.
It
has been divided in two sections, each one of this can be covered
in one day (there is the possibility to sleep in the refuge
of Prats d'Aguiló). Each section has a card, where there
is a map (section of a map of the ICC, scale 1:50.000, with
the route superimposed) and the description of the route (with
distances in time and km).
In
the back cover of the guide, there is the map of the whole route.
