Review
of the guide
More
than the description of a route, the GR 150, this publication
is about the description of a real marked routes net in the
Parc Natural Cadí-Moixeró and the protected area
of the Pedraforca. It includes the description of the GR 150
with the variant GR 150-1; apart from it, it also includes the
description of the PR-C 121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 127, 158 i
158-1. All together, about 355 km of marked routes.
The
route has been divided in sections that, theoretically, can
be made in one day (between 15 and 25 km), with beginning and
end in places where public transport is easy to find (train,
bus). Each card is a section of the route with a map (a piece
of a map of the ICC scale 1:50.000, with the route overprinted),
a description of the route (with distances in time and km) and
a profile of the grounds.
The
GR 150 is the central route around which the net is built, a
net that was marked during the year 2001. The variant GR 150-1
goes by all the crest of the Serra del Moixeró and the
Serra del Cadí from east to west (from Coll del Pal to
Gósol), like a spinal column.
In
order to complete the vision of the area, the guide also includes
the GR 4-2, from Coll del Pal to the sanctuary of Falgars, and
sections of other long routes, like the GR 7, from Tuixén
to La Seu d'Urgell; the GR 4, from Alp to the sanctuary of Falgars;
and the GR 107, from Gósol to Bellver de Cerdanya.
Before
the description, there is a section of interesting information
for the walker: security in the mountain, basic rules of behavior
in nature, general suggestions, using the guide and marking.
This section is complemented with a general map with the situation
of the routes and a summary of them.
The
section of general information includes specific information
about the Parc Natural Cadí-Moixeró, a card for
each of the villages by which the route goes by (interesting
information, telephone numbers, etc) and a card of each sanctuary
and refuge of the area.
